Synopsis: Saks chose the Teradata DCM forecasting, replenishment, and allocation applications to help improve Saks merchandise distribution processes. Saks is leveraging DCM in a Hold & Flow process to provide the right product at the right place at the right time to Saks’ customers. With the Hold & Flow process, Saks sends an initial partial distribution of seasonal goods to stores and uses the sales demand from the initial distribution to deliver the remainder of the product into the stores that are most likely to sell them. The Teradata DCM solution enables this new Hold & Flow methodology.
