This includes systems that deliver customer insight from any channel, drive customer loyalty, or help optimize marketing processes.

Winner

  • Mobile TeleSystems (MTS Group), Social Network Analysis.

Synopsis:  The solution helps us to distribute MTS products and services and engage customers in the exploring of new services more effectively.  In addition, MTS will show flexibility in retaining customers by offering them attractive tariffs and services.  Social network analysis will ultimately impact on reducing subscriber churn.

Category:  Logistics and Inventory Optimization

This includes implementations that have delivered measurable improvements in optimizing inventory; solutions that deploy analytics or business intelligence software to accurately forecast or anticipate customer demand; successful deployments of just-in-time inventory management systems or improved supply chain visibility; analytics, business intelligence or data management deployments that deliver improvements in supply chain efficiencies; or success in logistics and maintenance, repair, operations (MRO).

  • Saks, Inc.,  DCM Hold & Flow

Synopsis:  Saks chose the Teradata DCM forecasting, replenishment, and allocation applications to help improve Saks merchandise distribution processes.  Saks is leveraging DCM in a Hold & Flow process to provide the right product at the right place at the right time to Saks’ customers.  With the Hold & Flow process, Saks sends an initial partial distribution of seasonal goods to stores and uses the sales demand from the initial distribution to deliver the remainder of the product into the stores that are most likely to sell them.  The Teradata DCM solution enables this new Hold & Flow methodology.

Category:  Sustainable Business Practices

Deployments that focus on resource optimization, such as fewer data marts or lower operating costs; systems that save money or improve operational efficiencies; and technology implementations that reduce energy use (“green” efforts) or optimize IT resources for lower overall TCO.

Synopsis:   This is a story of how you can move to a SSOT with the right change management and strategy. It is no small task to attain sign off from across the enterprise as large as Cisco to migrate to a new SSOT. Everyone has a story as to why they cannot adopt. In the end, it’s about solution delivery with the right business partnership.  IT and Business teams are in this together – the secret to that relationship will drive success.

Synopsis:  Michigan’s EDW is intricately and integrally woven into the lives of more than 3 millionMichigan citizens, while achieving huge financial benefits, mostly in the Medicaid/health and human services area.  Nearly 10,000 users in five major departments, 20 agencies and more than 100 bureaus rely on the EDW to do their jobs more effectively and better serveMichigan residents, with the EDW transcending technology and becoming a true business asset.  The EDW is achieving $1 million per business day in financial benefits for the state.

Synopsis: WellPoint’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reporting Depot (EDWard), built on a Teradata platform, provides an integrated and accurate view of health profiles of its members to deliver timely and effective health care at an affordable cost.

Synopsis: Leveraging best in class technology, the NBCUniversal Commercial Data Warehouse (CDW) brings various lines of business under one roof enabling a single enterprise view of the client and realizing the synergies of unified enterprise advertising sales reporting and customer relationship management.  The CDW extends beyond traditional business intelligence and is driving improved invoice management and even sales incentive compensation.  It’s all about putting information into the hands of the right people, making it actionable and improving the bottom line.

Systems that support the business or organization through emerging, breakthrough or innovative business applications such as big data analytics, web intelligence and social media analytics; the use of data and data management solutions to pioneer new products, services or processes for an organization; systems that solve or address a problem that before seemed to be impossible.

Synopsis:   Shop Direct, the UK’s #1 Non-Store Retailer and owner of brands including Woolworths, Littlewoods, Choice and Empire, has delivered a step change in their customer communication via the intelligent distribution and use of behaviour and experiential data, which is delivered through the Teradata IWI initiative, in cooperation with development partner Celebrus Technologies.  Celebrus and Teradata helped Shop Direct improve customer communications resulting in 300% uplift in incremental sales per email, contributing profit & savings.

This could be as the result of an SI partner initiative where they have established a Teradata system as the preferred data warehouse platform environment, or as a joint initiative built in partnership with Teradata
